Guernsey, one of my favourite places in the world. The perfect destination wedding location. This little jewel in the Channel Islands has a beautiful slow nature to it and surrounds itself with lush, long, white sandy beaches and deep blue seas.
Kirsty and Jamie grew up on the island but moved to the UK years later. It was only fitting they were married where they met on liberation day.
The Bella Luce Hotel, and the team, did and incredible job of the reception and ran everything like clockwork. The gardens there are a joy to shoot in with lots of dappled light finding its way through the trees.
It was also another immaculately presented set up by Lorraine and the team at The Wedding Fairy.
Ive got to give a huge shout out to photographer Etienne Laine for being awesome and guiding me round the island for the day. Check out his website below.
The score for the film is from Guernsey composer Angus MacRae. ‘Falling’ in all it’s elegant beauty, fits the island and Kirsty and Jamie so well.
Extended thanks to Tim at Dronegsy for helping out with the aerial footage and James at Island FM for the weather report.
